Yard Grading & Slope Correction in Seattle & King County WA
Fix standing water and protect your foundation by reshaping your yard for better drainage.

We install catch basins and yard drainage systems that collect and move excess water away from problem areas — protecting your foundation, lawn, and landscaping.

Why Yard Grading Matters
If Water Isn’t Flowing Away From Your House… It’s Flowing Toward It
Improper grading is one of the most common causes of:
Water pooling near the foundation
Wet basements or crawlspaces
Erosion near sidewalks, patios, & fence
Soggy lawns that never dry out
Standing water that kills grass & plants
Grading issues usually aren’t visible until water becomes a problem — but once we fix the slope, most drainage issues disappear.
What’s Included
What’s Involved in Our Yard Grading Services
Every grading job starts with understanding where water wants to go — and where it shouldn’t. Here’s what we do:
Site drainage evaluation and slope mapping
Laser-level measurements to assess runoff direction
Soil reshaping using skid steers and grading equipment
Re-sloping away from foundations, patios, garages, etc.
Tie-ins to drainage systems (French drains, drywells, etc.) if needed
Optional topsoil replacement, seeding, or sod installation
Full post-grade site cleanup
Our grading isn’t just about aesthetics — it’s about long-term water control.

FAQs
Yard Grading FAQs
Will I need a full yard regrade?
Not always. We often only need to reshape part of your yard to correct water flow issues.
Can you regrade without damaging landscaping?
Yes — we carefully work around existing features or can rebuild affected areas after grading.
How much slope do I need away from the house?
Ideally, at least 6 inches over the first 10 feet. We use laser leveling to make sure it's done right.
